About GFA

The Ghaziabad Football Association (GFA) is a registered non-profit organization under the Companies Act, 2013, bearing CIN U85300UP2021NPL140129. We are the officially recognized district football association affiliated with the Uttar Pradesh Football Association (UPFA) and the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

Our mission is to develop, promote, and regulate the sport of football at all levels within the Ghaziabad district. We organize competitive leagues, youth development programs, coaching clinics, and international exchange programs to foster talent and passion for the beautiful game.

Since our formal incorporation in 2021, we have rapidly grown to oversee football activities for over 150 local clubs, 3,500 registered players, and 200 certified coaches. Our infrastructure includes partnerships with 12 major sporting venues across Ghaziabad.

We offer comprehensive football development programs for all age groups and skill levels, from grassroots to elite competition.

Youth Academy

Our flagship program for boys and girls aged 6-18. Structured training curriculum designed by AIFF-certified coaches focusing on technical skills, tactical understanding, physical development, and mental conditioning. The academy operates at multiple centers across Ghaziabad with age-appropriate training modules.

Senior Leagues

Competitive league structures for men's and women's football. Featuring multiple divisions with promotion and relegation systems. The GFA Senior League is the most prestigious district competition with over 80 participating teams. Matches are officiated by certified referees and follow FIFA laws of the game.

Comprehensive coach development programs in partnership with AIFF. Courses range from grassroots certificate to AFC 'C' License. Our curriculum includes theoretical sessions, practical demonstrations, and internship opportunities. We have trained over 200 coaches who now contribute to football development across Uttar Pradesh.

Ghaziabad Premier League

Annual Tournament | August - December

The flagship tournament of GFA featuring the top 16 clubs from Ghaziabad district. Following a double round-robin format with playoffs, this league attracts thousands of spectators and is broadcast locally. The winning team represents Ghaziabad in the UP State Club Championship.

Prize Money: ₹5,00,000 for champions

U-14 and U-17 competitions for schools across Ghaziabad. Over 200 schools participate in this massive youth football festival. The tournament serves as a talent identification platform for state and national youth teams. Separate competitions for boys and girls with category winners receiving trophies and scholarships.

GFA Signs MoU with Sports Authority

Ghaziabad Football Association has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Uttar Pradesh Sports Authority for development of three new football turfs with floodlights in the district. The project worth ₹2.5 crores will be completed by mid-2024.

Ghaziabad U-16 Girls Clinch State Title

Our district girls' team defeated Lucknow 3-1 in the final to win the UP State U-16 Girls Football Championship. This marks the first state title for Ghaziabad in women's football. Five players have been selected for national camp.

Coach Education Program Batch 12 Concludes

The 12th batch of AIFF 'D' License coaching course concluded successfully with 35 participants receiving certification. The month-long program included theoretical sessions, practical demonstrations, and assessments by AIFF instructors.
